Meet Kayla! Our owner!
Hey everyone! Just wanted to do a quick introduction and say hi since we have new followers/customers!
I am Kayla the K in K. Ellis. I started K. Ellis Boutique before I got married and Ellis is my maiden name. I started the boutique while I was still teaching school in Lubbock, Texas. I was a family and consumer science teacher for four years and then a school counselor for two. I graduated from Texas Tech and that’s where I met my husband, Chance, in 2014. We got married in 2018. We have two black labs that are our first babies and just had our first human baby, Kate, May 2023.
I decided to open a storefront in Abilene, October 2020. It was scary leaving a full-time job with benefits, but I knew it was now or never. Abilene has been such an amazing community and always supportive of my small business. I opened a second storefront in San Saba, June 2023! San Saba is my hometown and it was always my dream to have a store on Main Street.

When I am not working, I enjoy hanging out at home, reading, traveling, working on our new house. Without my faith in God, none of my goals/dream would be possible!
