Hey everyone!
Cannot believe May is here!! I am in education so I always look forward to May for SUMMER!! Just wanted to do a quick blog post and update everyone with my life, our summer collection and a few other things!
First, our summer collection, Savannah Summer is LIVE!! I am so excited because this is my first curated collection geared to help you get ready for all things summer! My inspiration came from when we visited the Savannah and the trees, gardens, and ocean made me so happy! I tried to create all my items to match what I felt then. You can shop the collection here.
A few of my favorite pieces are:
- This jumpsuit which you can buy here for only $44!
- The Savannah Bound Blue Striped Dress for only $39 you can buy here
- This Tee! Reminds me of my dad’s side of the family and summertime <3
Next week I will walk you through some of my favorite items for mothers day!
Second, those of you know I also work as a school counselor during the day. I actually resigned my position back in March. I am not at where I can use the store to fully replace my 8-5 (aka student loans, bills, buying a house is expensive!!)) So currently I am looking for a job for the 2019-2020 school year in Abilene, Texas. I often find myself getting nervous as it is already May and I have no IDEA what I am going to do if I do not find a job. But my Bible study really hit me hard this morning, I know it was exactly what I needed during that time.
1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God
It was like God was reading my mind to STOP worrying because he has a plan far better than anything I can fathom. Something I am working on is trying not to be so worried when everything is not as planned (this is a struggle for me and I often work myself up to easily over silly things). But I am aware of it and working towards letting go!! When I try to unwind or now I am getting overwhelmed, I make sure to do things I love! What helps me is TURNING off my email/phone, reading a book, being outside with my dog and hanging out at home!!
What are other ways you use to cope with stressful situations?!
