We had so much fun while in New Orleans!  I highly recommend going with a group or for a fun couples trip.  We stayed at the Omni Royal Crescent Hotel. The location was good, though previously when I had gone we stayed closer to the French Quater and it was nice and easier to walk to the things we were seeing. However, I liked where we stayed because it was across Canal Street and far enough away that we could sleep and felt super safe.  The hotel staff was SO friendly.
